magic mushroom day
This annual conference aims to bring the ongoing psychedelic research renaissance to the general public. Over the last 20 years, psilocybin, LSD, MDMA and more have returned to scientific laboratories and have been informing neuroscience and therapeutic practice at an unprecedented rate. Hosted at the University of Toronto Earth Science Centre, we will bring together psychologists, philosophers and mycologists to address the current findings and implications of psychedelic mushrooms and more.
El capítulo de la Ciudad de México de Estudiantes por una Política Sensata de Drogas México proyectará un o varios documentales con temática a la psilocibina. Después el público discutirá acerca del tema y las reflexiones que el documental despertó.
ERIE resident botanist and bay area favorite Bob Otis will discuss identification, origins, and mythology of beloved sacred mushrooms and their similar properties to ayahuasca. Medicine Woman, Curandera, and Indigenous Peruvian Woman, Eda Zavela Lopez will dive deeply into the ancient traditions of the master plants in Peru, offering her insights on ayahuasca and mother earth.
Brought to you by ERIE, Twisted Thistle, and SFPS’s participation in the Global celebration of Magic Mushrooms.
Psilocybin mushrooms have likely been used for millions of years. Their ability to enhance brain chemistry has attracted the interest of pharmacologists, evolutionary biologists, ethnomycologists, artists, writers, addiction and trauma specialists, and, more recently, computer language coders.
In Paris, France, the French Psychedelic Society is offering for the 920 celebrations a FREE scientific event with three speakers, three Ph.D. students that will give lectures (in French). Marcos Garcia de Teresa (anthropologist), Élise Grandgeorge (historian of art) and Vincent Verroust (historian of science and ethnobiologist) will address the topic of psilocybin mushrooms each from their own perspective.
The event is hosted at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris (Rouelle amphitheater)
Mushroom foraging season is upon us and as the hills start sprouting with our favourite little friends, we come together to celebrate international magic mushroom day.
Join us for an evening of chats, music and cups of tea. We will open the circle to your mushroom stories and show a short documentary on psilocybin therapy.
